Description

This lesson discusses image compression standards, focusing on the JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) standard of image compression, which has been the industry standard since 1992 and is still actively used and deployed worldwide today. We will be discussing the different steps in the JPEG image compression algorithm such as splitting the image up into blocks and averaging out the small color differences to take into account only the main transformations overtime.
