Vienna – Austria, November 12, 2025 – Bitmovin, a leading provider of video streaming solutions, today announced the launch of the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub, a powerful platform that unites Bitmovin’s products to deliver agentic AI services for workflow automation and enhanced viewer experiences.
Introducing the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub
The Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub introduces Bitmovin’s Observability MCP server and three agentic solutions: Vertical Short Form Clipping, Voice Operated Seeking, and Summarization Companion. Each solution is powered by an intelligent AI agent that leverages insights from Bitmovin’s AI Scene Analysis, VOD Encoding, and Bitmovin Player to analyze, act, and automate video workflows.
1. Vertical Short Form Clipping: Automate Highlights for Social Platforms
With Vertical Short Form Clipping, video providers can use natural-language prompts to automatically generate short-form clips at scale. The tool detects highlights, reframes for vertical screens, and preserves key action with subject-aware cropping.
Processed by Bitmovin’s VOD Encoder, which is optimized for short-form use cases, clips are ready for rapid distribution across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This empowers video providers to reach wider audiences and drive engagement with long-form content.
2. Voice Operated Seeking: Search Video by Voice
The Voice Operated Seeking feature allows viewers to interact with video content naturally using voice commands. Instead of manually scrolling through a timeline in Bitmovin’s Player, viewers can say phrases like “replay the car chase scene” or “jump to the interview.”
This innovative AI capability transforms how audiences engage with content, offering a seamless and intuitive viewing experience.
3. Summarization Companion: Personalized Catch-Ups and Recaps
The Summarization Companion builds on Bitmovin’s scene-seeking technology, allowing streaming services to offer personalized summaries or quick catch-ups on demand.
Viewers can request summaries or learn more about a character using simple verbal prompts such as “what did I miss?” or “who is this character?” — all without leaving the stream.
Together, the Voice Operated Seeking and Summarization Companion tools enhance engagement and give viewers more value from every video session.
Developer Access via Bitmovin MCP Servers
Jacob Arends, Senior Product Manager at Bitmovin, commented:
“We’re incredibly excited to release the Agentic AI Hub, which brings Bitmovin’s products like AI Scene Analysis up to another level by generating new ways to engage viewers and create value. Furthermore, in the spirit of encouraging experimentation and accelerating the pace of innovation, the features used in these solutions will be available for developers to use via Bitmovin’s MCP servers, allowing video services full control to adapt and use in-house to create new workflows for their customers. This allows developers to focus less on having to work around limitations and more on pushing innovation forward.”
This open approach allows developers to focus less on technical limitations and more on pushing innovation forward.
What’s Next for the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub
More solutions and MCP features will be added to the Bitmovin Agentic AI Hub in the coming months.
