INSIGHTS
Three findings from the chapter
A preview of what video professionals surveyed told us about AI. The ebook has the full data, the trends since 2020, and what each finding means for video teams.

AI Use Cases
Transcription leads AI use cases for video
48% of respondents expect to use AI for audio transcription, translation, and dubbing, the top use case in every edition since 2021. Recommendations follow at 34%, and scene, shot boundary, and ad placement detection sits at 28%. The chapter explains which use cases make existing work faster and which make new work possible.
AI Coding Tools
Almost half of developers use AI coding tools every day
46% of respondents use AI coding tools daily as part of their core workflow, and only 4% don’t use them at all. The ebook covers which tools teams run side by side, what they hand over to them, and why accuracy (35%) has replaced cost (10%) as the main limiter.

AI Agents and MCP
Developers want video platforms their AI tools can work with directly
58% say the most useful thing an AI tool can do with a third-party SDK or API is connect through a pre-built integration, such as an MCP server. The chapter explains MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard that lets AI agents use other software, and what it means for video platforms.
