Bitmovin announces strategic hires to accelerate the growth and impact of its global partner program and ecosystem.

San Francisco – 22 March 2022 – Bitmovin has today announced the appointment of Brandon Zupancic as Head of Alliances, and David Rushton, as Channel Director, EMEA to further expand its global partner program and optimize video streaming solutions. Between them, Zupancic and Rushton have over 40 years of experience in leading strategic partner programs, having worked with companies ranging from global conglomerates to innovative early-stage startups.

  • Brandon Zupancic joins Bitmovin as Head of Alliances, having led the  global Partner Marketing for the Media & Entertainment team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • New Channel Director, EMEA, David Rushton, comes to Bitmovin with extensive experience of  building channel programs from the ground up at a number of recognized software companies.

As Head of Alliances, Zupancic will be responsible for growing Bitmovin's global ecosystem of technology vendor and system integrator partnerships to simplify and accelerate customer adoption. Brandon was most recently at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led the global Partner Marketing for Media & Entertainment team with partners across Content Production, Broadcast, Direct-to-Consumer and Over the Top (OTT) streaming, Media Supply Chain, and Data Science for Media. He also previously led global technology partnerships and channel partner marketing for AWS Elemental. Zupancic  will report directly to Ian Baglow, Chief Revenue Officer, Bitmovin.

Rushton brings over 25 years of experience managing and building channel programs, executive relationships and sales enablement programmes at Commvault, Cloudian Inc. and Zerto. At Bitmovin, Rushton will be responsible for helping the partner ecosystem understand how they can leverage the power of Bitmovin's solutions so customers can create exceptional viewing experiences. He will also report directly to Ian Baglow.

He has a wealth of experience leading reseller programs that underpin business growth strategies at several dynamic software companies, with many impressive accomplishments under his belt.
