Meet Bitmovin in London!
Find us at CME Booth A09
Meet Bitmovin video experts during the Broadcast Video Expo (BVE) in London, 27 February – 1 March. We are excited to exhibit in the brand new Connected Media Europe show at BVE – perfectly placed within the main BVE 2018 event to demonstrate and discuss IP-focused technology. Stop by our booth A09 to see the latest video streaming tech coming from Bitmovin, like:
- Latest compression and streaming optimizations – Per-Title Encoding, Multi-Codec Streaming and Per-Scene Adaptation.
- HEVC in HLS and AV1 encoding and playback (now supported in Firefox Nightly browser)
- Bitmovin Containerized Video Encoding – massively distributed video encoding that runs anywhere
Arrange a meeting with Bitmovin at BVE to have a conversation about improving online video infrastructure!
You can also catch Bitmovin ambassadors at the following panels and presentations.
Efficient Multi-Codec Support for OTT Services: HEVC/H.265, VP9 and/or AV1?
Today’s OTT services account for more than 70% of the internet traffic and still growing. A major breakthrough and enabler was adaptive HTTP streaming and the standardization of MPEG-DASH, which led to a significant reduction in market fragmentation, as DASH and HLS converged to a single format – fMP4. The video codecs market, on the other hand, is in transition towards a next generation of standards, offering the same quality at half the data. In this presentation we will discuss the status of video codecs today and the options for streaming providers wanting to reach all devices with a new set of codecs.

Panel Debate: Emerging Trends in Codecs, Formats, and Delivery Protocols
While watching OTT video has never been easier, encoding and delivering it has never been more complex. The world of codecs, formats, and protocols is an alphabet soup of acronyms—HEVC, VP9, AV1, HLS, MPEG-DASH, SRT, and more. This panel discussion will help content publishers and broadcasters make sense of what these all mean for workflow efficiency, video quality, and low latency, with an eye towards the future.

Panel Debate: The cloud has changed the content workflow – exploiting the benefits and avoiding the pitfalls!
In this Connected Media Europe Panel, we bring together experts that have worked on some of the most interesting projects and technologies to discuss how cloud can help broadcasters and service providers deliver more cost efficient services that can scale to meet demand. We look at multiple parts of the production chain, from the camera to the screen, to examine both benefits and current limitations of the cloud technology to offer practical guidance on how to make the transition.
