Getting started with Bitmovin Analytics

Step 1) Setup your Bitmovin Analytics LicenseLink Icon

Once, you are logged to your dashboard at https://bitmovin.com/dashboard, click on “Analytics” in the menu on the left and select “Licenses”. You will see an overview about all the details of your analytics license.

In order to use Bitmovin Analytics on your website, you have to add its domain in your Bitmovin analytics license list of allowed sources. So, if you want to use it on your website at https://www.example.com, you have to add its domain “example.com” accordingly. Subdomains of your domains (e.g. “subdomain.example.com”) are allowed by default, so is “localhost” to simplify the development process.

In order to allow a domain ...

  1. enter your domain into the field “Add Domain”, and click “+ADD”.
  2. If successful, the new allowed domain will be shown in the list below.

Step 2) Integrate Bitmovin AnalyticsLink Icon

In your dashboard at https://bitmovin.com/dashboard, click on “Analytics” in the menu on the left and select “Licenses”. You will see an overview about all the details of your analytics license, including the Bitmovin Analytics Key. This key needs to be added to your Bitmovin Analytics configuration, which will be added to your website in the next step.
