Bitmovin is growing! We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to come and join the EMEA Solutions team. You will be working closely with sales to help position and prove Bitmovin solutions to our prospects, customers, and partners.

The Sales team will look to you for sound technical guidance and advice, so you must be very familiar with the OTT and Video Streaming space. You should have strong technical skills and be able to make sound judgements and decisions based on your experience and be able to propose bitmovin led solutions that solve customer pain and provide clear value and benefit. 

 

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Understand the video technology landscape sufficiently and be able to determine where Bitmovin’s products sit within it
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of Bitmovins products (Player, Encoding and Analytics)
  • Be a leader in the role to advice on good product/solution fit 
  • Be able to work closely with sales persons, to support them in opportunities from a technical standpoint
  • Understanding the customer’s needs and designing flexible and scalable solutions together with the customers
  • Act as the customer's main technical point of contact and lead the sale to a successful technical close
  • Contribute to sales teams efficiency by identifying technical risks and issues that must be addressed. Recommending options and solutions to mitigate them
  • Confidently create, present and articulate the business value of our solutions and products to managers and executives of all levels
  • Be able to support the RFI/RFP process by providing thorough technical responses
  • Help new and existing customers to be successful with Bitmovins products
  • Facilitate the running of customer POCs and evaluations to a successful conclusion
  • Manage and execute client-facing demos of our products
  • Be able to build strong and long-term relationships with our customers
  • Above all, have a solutions focused can do attitude (not just say, computer says no)

Must have skills:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or related Video/Broadcast experience
  • Strong presentation skills including experience presenting technical details to a wide-ranging audience
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Experience in problem identification and resolution with a hands-on approach to solving
  • Experience interfacing with Product and Engineering teams 
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multi-tasks or opportunities at any one time
  • Ideally experience working video player solutions (HTML5, Android, iOS) 
  • Ideally experience working with backend development  (PHP, Python, Java)
  • Eager to learn new technologies and skills, for example, it’s okay if you only know player today, we can help you with the others
  • A willingness to get out and see people, with travel to meetings and events as needs arise
  • Additional languages are a plus
