We are growing fast at Bitmovin and our sales team is no exception. With the opening of our new office in San Francisco, CA we have some exciting new additions to the Bitmovin team to announce!

Sean Longworth

- BitmovinSean recently joined Bitmovin as our Chief Revenue Officer and from day one has been focused on building out a world class sales team. Prior to Bitmovin, Sean ran go-to-market for Comcast CDN and Live Linear Streaming and was the GM for North America at Cedexis. Sean brings a strong video and technology background to the team and a passion for working with high growth, product-led companies. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Sean currently resides in Chicago with his wife and two kids.
What is Sean’s favorite movie? Tommy Boy, the 1995 adventure and comedy about an incompetent heir to an auto parts factory that must save the business to keep it out of the hands of his con-artist relatives, starring former Saturday Night live castmates Chris Farley and David Spade.


Darren Grimstead

- BitmovinDarren joins us as Sales Director, West and is focused on helping to develop our presence in North America. Darren spent 10 years building the OVP business at thePlatform and has a great understanding of the entire video ecosystem. A graduate of Western Washington University, Darren is based in Seattle, where he resides with his wife and two kids.
What is Darren’s favorite movie? Step Brothers, the 2008 American comedy about two middle-aged men who, still living at home, are forced to live together when their parents marry. Starring Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly.


Gary Hunsberger

- BitmovinGary joins Bitmovin as Sales Director, East and will be based out of our New York City office. Gary joins us from Harmonic, where he was Director of Sales – Major Accounts, and prior to this he was with Omneon Video Networks. A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where he studied Economics, Gary brings a wealth of video knowledge to the team.
What is Gary’s favorite movie? Saving Private Ryan, a 1998 American epic war drama set during the Invasion of Normandy in World War II, starring Tom Hanks and Matt Damon.


Paul MacDougall

- BitmovinPaul joins our NYC-based team as a Solutions Architect. Paul is a native New Yorker and graduate of NYU. Prior to joining us, Paul was a Sr. Sales Engineer with Ooyala. When not working, Paul’s favorite pastime is skiing and photography. Referred to as “a swiss army knife of live production,” we are excited to have Paul join the Bitmovin team!
What is Paul’s favorite TV show? Mr. Robot, a drama-thriller television series, starring Rami Malek as a cybersecurity engineer and hacker who suffers from clinical depression.


Abel Honigsblum

- BitmovinAbel joins Bitmovin as our Sales Director for Latin America and is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil by way of Texas and Georgia. Although originally from Argentina, Abel is a diehard Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan! Our first hire in LATAM, we are excited to have him build out our presence in the region.
What is Abel’s favorite movie? Crimson Tide, a drama set on a U.S. nuclear missile submarine. A young First Officer (Denzel Washington) stages a mutiny to prevent the Captain (Gene Hackman) from launching his missiles.


Thiago Carvalho

- BitmovinThiago joins Abel’s team in Sao Paulo as a Solutions Architect, bringing over 14 years of experience in video and audio to the team. Most recently, Thiago led new video projects at R7.com, the web portal at Record TV, the second largest television network in Brazil.
What is Thiago’s favorite movie? The Big Short, the 2015 American drama starring Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. Four denizens in the world of high-finance predict the credit and housing bubble of the mid-2000s and decide to take on the big banks.


David Godfrey

- BitmovinDavid joins us as VP and General Manager for the Asia Pacific region and is based out of our Hong Kong office. David joins us from Elemental Technologies, where he was Vice President, Asia Pacific. Spending the last 15 years in the region, David has previously held senior positions in Asia Pacific with TANDBERG Television, where he was Sales and Marketing Director, and as Operations Director for NDS’ Asia Pacific business. David originally comes from the UK and in his spare time enjoys his family time, the beach and pursuing his mountain trail riding sports.
What is David’s favorite movie? The Sons of Katie Elder, a classic Western from 1965, starring John Wayne and Dean Martin. A ranch owner’s four sons are determined to avenge the murder of their father and the swindling of their mother.
