Getting started with Bitmovin Analytics

Step 1) Setup your Bitmovin Analytics LicenseLink Icon

Once, you are logged to your dashboard at https://bitmovin.com/dashboard, click on “Analytics” in the menu on the left and select “Licenses”. You will see an overview about all the details of your analytics license.

In order to use Bitmovin Analytics on your website, you have to white-list its domain in your Bitmovin analytics license. So, if you want to use it on your website at https://www.example.com, you have to white-list its domain “example.com” accordingly. Subdomains of your white-listed domains (e.g. “subdomain.example.com”) are white-listed by default, so is “localhost” to simplify the development process.

In order to whitelist a domain ...

  1. enter your domain into the field “Add Domain”, and click “+ADD”.
  2. If successful, the white-listed domain will be shown in the list below.

Step 2) Integrate Bitmovin AnalyticsLink Icon

In your dashboard at https://bitmovin.com/dashboard, click on “Analytics” in the menu on the left and select “Licenses”. You will see an overview about all the details of your analytics license, including the Bitmovin Analytics Key. This key needs to be added to your Bitmovin Analytics configuration, which will be added to your website in the next step.
